Last night I went to Michael’s (local bar with good food and great beer on tap) with some friends, and it was great. They’d added the fantastic pot pie back to the menu for the season. This morning I went to the farmer’s market and got:
– orange-cashew brittle
– honey with the honeycomb still in it. I remember eating a honeycomb when I was little. I want to see what happens, mnemonically, when I eat one again.
– fresh black bean salsa
– apples
— Albemarle Pippin
— Figi
— Stayman

Then I had soup at Revolutionary Soup. I had butternut squash-apple cider soup. The cider just gave it a little bit of tang. It was very good.

The weather has turned gorgeous over the past few days. The leaves are slow to change, but we’re finally in long-sleeved shirts and lightweight sweaters.
