What’s with the headline of this article? 2 of the 3 words advised to be banned are sexist, not racist words. Yet another occasion where it’s implicitly ok to be sexist (it’s something we can all share in, regardless of race creed age nationality or religion!)– the newsworthy item is racism. Both Simmons’s points seem well-made, which makes me all the more frustrated with BBC’s subtly uneven attention to them.
