It is glorious to have a functioning printer again. I haven’t tried duplexing on it (it’s supposed to duplex), but I have tried color and B&W printing and scanning and they look great– at least as good as my last color printer. And so far I haven’t had to coddle the printer to get it to do what I want. Yay!

I have a love/hate relationship with both my printers, but I’m all about the paper cutter….
I have left many printers in my wake.
- Lexmark. He wasn’t as functional as he claimed to be.
- Epson. He was great while he lasted.
- HP. I have used and abused him with so many kinds of paper and not-really-paper that he is worn out, but we are still good friends.
The new one, Canon, is pretty and does what it’s supposed to do, but I haven’t asked much of it yet.
My heart really belongs to another species entirely– my bone folder. I carry him everywhere. I think the extended metaphor probably should’ve ended right before I said “bone folder.”
